Day 1. LISBON

Day 2. LISBON
  • After breakfast, departure to representative Bélema, the port of Lisbon.

  • Visit to the Maritime Museum near the Monastery.

  • Lunch in the area of the docks (Docas).
  • Afternoon visit to the Museum of the royal carriages (Museu Nacional dos Coches). Break with coffee and cookies prepared by secret recipe in the candy store Pasteis de Bélem.
  • Going to the center of LISBON, Baixa, Santa Justa elevator, Chiado, Bairro Alto, viewpoint São Pedro de Alcântara
  • Dinner on the steps to Calçada Duque. Overnight
Day 3. LISBON (Optional ÉVORA)
  • After breakfast going by public transport to the Park of Nations.
  • Visit to Oceanario De Lisboa, possible cable car ride
  • Lunch in the area. Visit the Gulbenkian Museum.
  • Afternoon tour of the old part of LISBON with tram no. 28 (Fort São Jorge, Santa Luzia belvedere and the Alfama district)
  • Dinner with Fado. Overnight

  • If this would not be an option, departure for the EVORA, city-museum under UNESCO protection, located in the Alentejo region famous for its vineyards and olive trees, after early breakfast. Also, sightseeing of Giraldo Square, Chapel of bones inside the church of St. Francis, the palace of Manuel I where Vasco da Gama 1497 received the orders to embark on a journey to India.
  • Visiting the Roman Temple of Diana from the 1st century, the Cathedral, the remains of the aqueduct whose arches roof many homes and restaurants (Rua do Cano).
  • Lunch. Optional visit to Cartuxa winery known for its premium wines
  • Back in LISBON. Dinner with Fado. Overnight
Day 4. SINTRA-CABO DE ROCA-AZENHAS-MAR-LISABON
  • After breakfast, departure to royal SINTRA under UNESCO protection, whose beauty described Lord Byron. Be sure to visit one of the most recognizable sights of Portugal - Pena.
    If time allows, visit the Royal Palace (Palácio Nacional) from the 14th century (amazing collection of azulejos) on the main square
  • Lunch. Continuation to the westernmost point of continental Europe - CABO DE ROCA.
  • After a break and taking photographs, going to AZENHAS to MAR, romantic place above the 100 meter cliffs that rise from the Atlantic. Dinner with a view

  • Back in LISBON, overnight
Day 5. FÁTIMA-COIMBRA-AVEIRO
  • After early breakfast check out and departure for the Portuguese shrine of FATIMA. Visit to the Basilica of the apparitions, an hour break. Drive to COIMBRA, city tour; the University Library, the new and the old cathedral, the lower town by the river Mondego and the church of Santa Cruz
  • Lunch at a restaurant in the maze of city streets or in the lower zone of the university. Departure to AVEIRO, a town on the canals
  • Accommodation at the hotel, walk, overnight
Day 6. PORTO
  • After breakfast departure for PORTO. Accommodation at the hotel.
  • Upon arrival a short tour of the area around Avenida dos Aliados (railway station São Bento famous for Azulejo tiles)
  • Afternoon theme sail "six bridges" on the river Douro, for 60 min
  • Dinner in the old port area Ribeira. Overnight
Day 7. PORTO
  • After breakfast sightseeing of Port under the protection of UNESCO (Convent of São Francisco, Stock Palace, Cathedral, crossing the Dom Luis I,
  • Bridge port tasting in one of the specialized port houses on the south bank of the River Douro and tasting Portugese specialty- meat-Francesinhe
  • After lunchtime, tour of the museum Serralves, most profitable Portuguese museum whose gardens were designed by Álvaro Siza Vieira, winner of the Pritzker ("Oscar") for the architecture. In the evening visit to Casa da Música (concert hall)
  • Dinner. Overnight
Day 8. GUIMÁRAES-BRAGA-PORTO
  • After breakfast departure to nearby GUIMÁRAES (UNESCO), the first capital of Portugal, which this year carries the title of one of the European Capital of Culture. Visit to old fort and Duke Palace.
  • A pleasant walk through the historic center with coffee break and continuation to BRAGA, Portugal's ecclesiastical center
  • Visit the Cathedral (a mixture of different styles), whose foundations date from the 3rd century where the first king of Portugal was buried.
  • After lunch in the historic center, we take the world's oldest funicular railway up to the baroque sanctuary of Bom Jesus do Monte above the city. Coming down the imposing staircase. Back to PORTO
  • Dinner. Overnight
Day 9. PORTO-ZAGREB
  • Breakfast, check out, going to the airport and waiting for the flight to ZAGREB.
