Day 2. OHRID
  • After breakfast departure to the Mavrovo lake.
  • A short stop in Gostivar for coffee and baklava
  • Arrival around noon in the Monastery of St. John Bigorski (11th century) with valuable iconostasis.
  • After the visit and the rest with coffee and homemade peppermint liqueur in the monastery residence departure for OHRID (UNESCO).
  • Accommodation in hotel or apartment. Early dinner at a restaurant on the coast.
  • After dinner, walk through the streets of OHRID

Day 3. OHRID
  • After breakfast visit to the Museum on the water and the famous Monastery of St. Naum in the southern part of the lake along Albania border
  • Boat ride to the spring of Black Drin below the monastery.
    Break on the terrace above the lake, with a cake.
  • Afternoon guided tour through ancient OHRID (St. Sophia, the house-museum Robevci, printing office, Hellenistic theater, St. Clement and the first Slavic University, St. John Kane).
  • Visit to the workshop of pearls (Filevi)
  • Dinner by the lake. Overnight
Day 4. KALAMBAKA (GR)
  • Early breakfast. Going through Pelisterski National Park to Bitola and Greece, to KALAMBAKA
  • Arrival in Kalambaka in the early afternoon
  • Accommodation in the hotel and lunch / dinner in one of taverns in the city.
  • After the meal, you should take a stroll in this unusual town situated at the foot of scary dark rocks with monasteries

DaY 5. KALAMBAKA, BITOLA (GR-MK)
  • Early breakfast. Morning is scheduled for tour to the Meteor, a group of Greek Orthodox monasteries, under the protection of UNESCO. Formerly there were many more of them whilst today only six remained.
  • Lunch in town and return to BITOLA. Accommodation in hotel and free time untill dinner. BITOLA is known throughout history as a city of numerous consulates, high schools and beautiful buildings. Kemal Ataturk attended a military academy there (worth visiting his memorial room in the National Museum)
  • Overnight
DaY 6. TIKVES, SKOPLJE
  • Travel continues through Pelagonijskam valley known for its tobacco and poppy cultivation by Vardar valley. Arrival at the TIKVES valley famous for wine growing. Wine tasting in the winery Tikves Kavadarci.
  • We continue to Demir Gates to visit another wine house situated in the wine vineyards overlooking the Demirkapijska gorge.
  • After the rest and refreshment, we will continue through the valley of the Vardar towards SKOPJE
  • Arrival and accommodation at the hotel.
  • Walk through the new part of SKOPJE, the old station (museum), whose clock is still showing an earthquake time from 1963., Monument of Mother Teresa who was born here, Stone Bridge crossing, and dinner planned in SKOPJE'S old bazaar
  • Overnight
Day 7. SKOPJE, ZAGREB
  • Early start, returning the car and flying to ZAGREB at 6.10 am.
